Terms and Conditions

By placing an order with CakeAway you agree to the following terms and conditions.

PAYMENT

Payment can be made in store by eftpos, no credit card facility or via internet or PayPal.
Payment is due in full on cake pickup.
10% of your total cake booking will be a non refundable deposit and is made to confirm your booking.
If you have a delivery booked, full payment is required 24 hours before delivery date.

DELIVERIES

If delivery is booked it is ideal to have someone to receive the cake, if there is no answer we will make contact by phone with you and arrange to leave the cake in a safe place, in the carport or porch or with a neighbour.
If you need to change your order let us know 5 days in advance.

CANCELLATIONS

Your booking can be cancelled at anytime, we will refund 50% of the total amount paid and the 10% booking fee will be retained, we can only do so many handcrafted cakes in a week and are not always able to fill that cancelled “booked” time.

DESIGN

All our cakes are baked using fresh ingredients and are individually hand decorated so no two cakes are exactly the same, if there are particular aspects of the design that are crucial please talk to us about it.

IMAGES

We want to use your cake images to show off, so if for some reason you would not allow this please ask us to refrain from using them.

TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

Your cake is all good sitting in it’s box at room temperature in a spare room or garage, be aware of ants, cats and dogs. We will tell you if the cake needs refrigeration or any other special treatment. Where possible have the cake sitting flat at all times, not on an angle which could cause it to slide.

COMPLAINTS

We hope there is never cause for complaint but should there be an issue please contact us within 24 hours of your pickup or delivery and we will do our best to offer a replacement or refund where appropriate.
